Were you taught SEO or did you self-teach?

SEO is something that you can be taught but it is also possible to self-teach yourself SEO as well.

I never did any courses for SEO and anything I know I taught myself through articles, videos and tutorials.

If you work with SEO, were you taught SEO and how it works or did you self-teach?

I got a lot of knowledge working with peers on various SEO projects which came as part of the work. Some I am self taught, some I had advice, some I learned from doing it.
